With over 35 years of dedicated experience, I am passionate about helping athletes at every level unlock their peak performance. As a licensed counselor with a deep background in performance psychology, I focus on supporting exceptional athletes in maximizing their full potential—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
`
**Playing and Coaching Background**```
My athletic journey began in high school varsity hockey at Kent School, where I was honored as a New England Prep School All-Star. I continued my hockey career at Lake Forest College, earning letters all four years and also competing on the college golf team.
Beyond playing, I have coached at all levels—from house leagues to AAA—across the Dallas area and New Hampshire. I led a U16AA hockey team to the U.S. National Championship, earning a bronze medal. My coaching philosophy emphasizes developing strengths, fostering resilience, and cultivating a winning mindset.
**Recruiting and Player Development**
I have a deep understanding of the recruiting landscape, having helped my own son secure scholarships and guide many athletes across various sports toward NCAA Division I and Division II opportunities. I excel at identifying athletes' strengths, connecting players with coaches and programs, and navigating the complexities of transferring, transfer portals, and team placements.
**My Approach**
By blending my athletic experience, coaching insights, and performance psychology expertise, I am committed to empowering athletes to overcome psychological barriers, improve focus, and realize their full athletic potential. Whether you're seeking mental edge training, guidance through recruitment, or support in high-pressure situations, I am here to help.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and compete as a collegiate golfer on a full athletic scholarship. I am a national championship winner with over a decade of competitive experience spanning junior golf, collegiate competition, high-level amateur events, and professional golf. Having begun tournament play in ninth grade, I have spent years learning firsthand the mental, strategic, and emotional demands required to perform under pressure at every stage of development.
My work focuses on the psychological side of performance—decision-making, emotional regulation, confidence, and competitive resilience—integrated with advanced golf course strategy. I specialize in helping athletes think more clearly during competition, manage pressure effectively, and approach performance as a process rather than an outcome.
In addition to performance work, Steve and I work together to assist athletes and families with the collegiate recruiting process. Drawing from my own experience navigating junior golf, exposure events, coach communication, and scholarship opportunities, I help players understand what college coaches value, how to present themselves authentically, and how to make informed decisions throughout the recruiting journey.
As both a student of psychology and an active competitive athlete, my approach is practical, structured, and grounded in firsthand experience at the collegiate and championship levels.
